Fred Chambers with Lisa and their four children joined the DICC family in May 2010. Fred has served as a pastor in the United States and as a family they lived for four years in Indonesia where Fred was a student and teacher. Fred and Lisa both love learning to relate to other cultures.

We are thankful to God for the opportunity to live in Dhaka and to be a part of a Christian community made up of people from so many different cultures and expressions of the Christian faith. We believe that God especially desires to bring unity to his followers and so International churches are a special place where diverse groups of people share a special unity and bond while living and working abroad.

God describes our life on earth as a pilgrimage through a foreign land with our arrival in Heaven as finally reaching our true home. Living and working in another culture is a great way to really connect with this idea of being a pilgrim, but it isn't an easy thing to do. DICC is a community where you can be encouraged by God through one another in this spiritual journey. If you're living in Dhaka or even just visiting for short time we would like to have you join us for either a weekend worship service or in one of our home groups.
